# MCP Server Project Status ## Project Overview The MCP (Model Context Protocol) server is designed to convert Solidity bytecode into a functional server implementation. It provides a bridge between Solidity smart contracts and Python-based server applications. ## Current Implementation ### Core Components - **State Management** - `State` class with dictionary-based storage - Web3 integration for blockchain interactions - Basic CRUD operations (get, set, delete, clear) - Dictionary-like interface - Tested and verified functionality - **MCP Generator** - Converts Solidity contracts to Python implementations - Generates directory structures - Creates method implementations - Manages documentation - Handles state variables - **Testing Infrastructure** - Unit tests for State class - Contract interaction test fixtures - Mock implementations - Verified test suite ### Project Structure ``` mcp_server/ ├── __init__.py ├── state/ │ └── __init__.py ├── tests/ │ ├── test_state.py │ └── test_uni_token.py ├── docs/ └── examples/ ``` ## Next Steps ### 1. Function Support - [ ] Implement all Solidity function types: - Pure functions - View functions - Payable functions - Non-payable functions - [ ] Support function overloading - [ ] Handle complex return types ### 2. Event System - [ ] Create event emission system - [ ] Implement event listening - [ ] Add event filtering - [ ] Support indexed parameters ### 3. State Management Enhancements - [ ] Support complex data types: - Mappings - Arrays - Structs - [ ] Implement storage layout optimization - [ ] Add gas optimization ### 4. Error Handling - [ ] Implement Solidity-style errors: - require() statements - revert() statements - Custom error types - [ ] Add error propagation ### 5. Gas Management - [ ] Add gas estimation - [ ] Implement optimization strategies - [ ] Track gas usage ### 6. Security Features - [ ] Implement access control: - Function modifiers - Ownership checks - Role-based access - [ ] Add input validation - [ ] Implement security best practices ### 7. Testing Framework - [ ] Create comprehensive test cases - [ ] Add integration tests - [ ] Implement gas usage tests - [ ] Add edge case tests ### 8. Documentation - [ ] Generate detailed function documentation - [ ] Document parameter types - [ ] Add gas cost information - [ ] Include security considerations ### 9. Optimization - [ ] Implement caching - [ ] Add batch processing - [ ] Optimize state access - [ ] Add parallel processing ### 10. Integration - [ ] Support multiple networks - [ ] Add cross-contract calls - [ ] Implement delegate calls - [ ] Support multiple contract interactions ## Current Status - ✅ Basic State class implementation - ✅ Core MCP generator structure - ✅ Initial test framework - ✅ Basic documentation - 🔄 Function support (in progress) - 🔄 Event system (pending) - 🔄 Enhanced state management (pending) ## Notes - The project has been successfully renamed from `mpc_server` to `mcp_server` - All basic operations are working and tested - Focus is now on expanding functionality to support all Solidity contract features
